Pegeen Wright Associates Assists Publishers in Launching K-12 Mobile Learning Solutions
Educational Technology Consulting firm helps publisher release first iPhone Applications
Boston, MA June 7, 2011—Pegeen Wright Associates, an educational technology firm that provides strategic consulting, product, and content development services for Pre-K–12 digital learning initiatives, announced today that it has worked with one of the industry’s leading supplemental publishers, to develop and launch a series of iPhone/iPad applications. The apps have been well received and have even been listed in the “What’s Hot” section of the iTunes store.
The significant shift to mobile platforms for educational applications represents both a challenge and opportunity to K-12 publishers. On the one hand the applications must provide a sound pedagogical approach and at the same time address the student’s expectations that mobile apps be entertaining. Providing solutions on mobile devices also allows K-12 publishers to expand their reach into the home market and is the perfect solution to digitalizing legacy products.
